Bond, 73, of Crossville, who passed away Feb. 11, 2000, were held Feb. 13 from the chapel of Bilbrey Funeral Home, with burial in Green Acres Memory Gardens. Bros. Billy Smith and Brian Smith officiated.He was born Feb. 15, 1926 in Richmond, KY, the son of Charles and Nellie Wilson Bond.Mr. Bond was retired from the military, having served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, and the U.S. Army during the Korean and Vietnam wars. He was a charter member of Liberty Baptist Church, and he was an avid golfer.Survivors include his wife, Christine "Chris" Tabor Bond of Crossville; daughter, Anita Smith of Crossville; sons, Randy Bond of Crossville, and Steve Bond of Beaufort, SC; 12 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sister, Margaret Pugh of Crossville; and brothers, Harold Bond of Oklahoma, Edwin Bond of Ohio and John Bond and David Bond, both of Crossville.He was preceded in death by his brothers, Ernest, Bill and Wilson Bond.Pallbearers were Brian Smith, John Bond, Mike Headlee, Joe White, Richard Lawrence, Guy Thompson, Jeremy Bond, Michael Bond and Scott Bond.The family requests that memorials be made to Hilltoppers/Special Olympics, P.O. "Bill" Davenport, 75, of Riverside, OH, passed away on Feb. 23, 2000. Funeral services were held Feb. 26 at Tobias Funeral Home in Dayton, OH, with burial at Memorial Park Cemetery in Dayton. Pastor Dale Bolen officiated.The Rev. Davenport was born on Oct. 31, 1924 in Crossville, the son of General and Winnie Davenport.He was a U.S. Army veteran who served during World War II, and he retired from Chrysler. He was a member of General Baptist Church.Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Lena (Garrett) Davenport; daughter, Judy Rose; daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Donald Pollard; son and daughter-in-law, Larry Keith and Kathy Davenport; sister and brother-in-law, Thalma and...
